Stretton Population: 7,431 (1991 Census)

Although formerly an agricultural village, Stretton is very much a residential area with almost direct access to the A38. The Trent and Mersey Canal passes through the parish, while the rivers Trent and Dove form part of the boundaries. The Parish Church of St Mary was built in 1897.
