Tatenhill is a village unspoilt by modern development and retaining an air of peace and tranquility, with a winding main street, attractive old houses, the 15th century Horseshoe Inn and the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels. The parish includes the hamlets of Rangemore and Callingwood. Generations of the Bass brewing family have lived at Rangemore Hall.
