Yoxall is a large village lying in the valley of the River Swarbourne, a tributary of the Trent. The major part of the village has been designated a 'Conservation Area' and fifteen buildings have been listed as being of architectural or historic interest. For a small parish it has many notable connections. For instance, Edward Cooper, a parson of the Parish Church of St Peter, was first cousin to Jane Austen.
